Alive and Alone

She walks alone
Throughout the wood,
On that rainy day in may.

She walks here
She walks there,
But no one passes her way.

She is alone,
But that's ok,
For she walks alone to savor the day.

She is alive when she is alone,
No one there to hurt her
And no one there to turn her.
All alone with the woods on that rainy day in May.

She loves to walk
And she loves to run
Through those woods in may.

They are her castle
They are her strong hold
Those woods on those rainy days in May.

  1. I like this poem a lot because it is so relaxing to be alone some times. It is always nice to have a moment to gather your thoughts, and just focus on yourself. It might be nice to have some more detail about what she gets away from in the woods. You inferred that she gets hurt, but is it by people in general or by someone in particular? And how does she get hurt?
